Members have been given a 10” square of a beautiful ruby coloured material and they have to make it into a 12” hanging, using all or most of the fabric, with sleeve and binding or edging of choice. Other colours can be added and any patchwork/quilting/sewing techniques used. The prompt was Ruby as in 40th anniversary, precious stone, name etc
By Christmas 2023 two people had brought in their finished works. One had lovely appliqued ruby flowers, the other an appliqued picture of a lady wearing a ruby hat. What else will appear…..
By May 2024, there were 20+ entries waiting to be displayed including a yellow brick road with ruby slippers and one with various ruby cats…
