The raffle was drawn on September 24th 2024. All funds raised were for a local charity ” Ruby’s” which aims at “helping special families shine”.
The winners were from Congleton and as far afield as Birmingham and Manchester. A total of £2000 was raised and donated to “Ruby’s”. The charity was set up to help children and their families, in the local area, with special educational needs and disabilities. Two representatives from the charity- Sue and Karen – came along to the Beartown P&Qs meeting to receive the cheque on behalf of Ruby’s Fund.

They explained how the fund was started by Ruby’s mother when her daughter Ruby was born, as she found there were no local facilities for children with special needs. The charity now has a full quota of fully trained staff . They also have a sensory room that can be used by up to eight children. The charity does lots of fund raising. They are currently organising line dancing, an early doors disco and a pudding party. Read more about it at – http://rubysfund.co.uk
