April 14th saw members of Sandbach sew and sew (Tiggy, Christine, Gwen and Anne )bring the results of their challenge which used wrapping paper as an inspiration. A fascinating idea.
Chris Flatman had used fabric created in the Eco printing workshop in 2004 to make an impressive table runner.
April 28th saw the 141st quilt for care leavers ( made by Anne Carter) being displayed (Janet had to send me the front photo as I wasn’t quick enough to photograph it!). Helen had done some dressmaking, Val produced another brilliant looking bag, Tiggy was using up yet more panels, Donna’s murder mystery project now has a stack of blocks, but no clue, as yet, to the murderer!
Having a speaker and the Malpas visitors for the May meetings, meant there wasn’t much time for show and tell. Sandra brought along her beautiful Liberty quilt made for her daughter. I had made two journal quilts inspired by the Hannah’s room workshop I attended with the Staffs P and Qs. Tiggy had used Tilda materials for a Japanese themed quilt.
We’ll wait and see if the group is more productive in June….
