Christine Davidson led this as part of a DYOT day on February 15th 2025. Her finished example had been displayed at the group’s Ruby exhibition last year.

She provided detailed instructions and individual help and support, for which the participants were really grateful for.

Magic tiles involved 12 squares, numbering them carefully, making a cut, adding “grout”, rearranging the smaller pieces, re sewing to the larger piece, then making the next cut etc
Everyone worked at their own pace, had tea breaks, used chain piecing and of course , wandered round to compare notes and chat!
By 4 o’ clock, only a couple of people had made all 4 cuts and created the final magic tile.

After a very enjoyable day we took our blocks home to finish.
Many thanks to Helen for organising it and to Christine for providing instructions and guidance.
